Source: The Hollywood Reporter

Movies aren't the only format getting the remake treatment. According to THR, CBS has ordered a script from Sony Pictures Television for a potential remake of Bewitched.

Marc Lawrence (Miss Congeniality) has been hired to write the script for the reboot and will executive produce the series. Douglas Wick and Lucy Fisher, who are husband and wife and produced the 2005 feature film starring Will Ferrell and Nicole Kidman will produce the television series as well. The new version of Bewitched will join the recent regime of classic TV series reboots as ABC will be bring Charlies Angels back from the dead with it's premiere next month. Last September CBS also brought back Hawaii Five-0 which has done well, raking as one of the highest rating series among freshman shows last season. Five-0 returns this Fall for its sophomore run.

Bewitched ran for eight seasons on ABC, from 1964 to 1972 and starred Elizabeth Montgomery as Samantha, a witch who marries Darrin, a mortal (Dick York and later Dick Sargent), and attempts to become a typical suburban housewife.
