Sunday's TV Ratings

With the huge lead-in NFL Wild Card game Fox easily won the night with adults 18-49 and total viewers.
Fox animations took advantage of the big lead-in and Bob’s Burgers scored the highest-rated new series premiere of the season with a 4.5 rating.   The Simpsons which got the most benefit out of the playoff game surged 78% from its last original on 12/12 to a 5.7 rating, its highest of the season.  Family Guy was up 18% to a 4.7, also a season high.  Cleveland Show made its new time period debut and it too saw season highs.  It was up 13% vs. its last original to a 3.5 rating.
The Cape premiered to a 2.6 rating and averaged 8.4 million viewers between 9-11p. which by NBC standards seems decent enough.  The bad news is ratings typically erode after heavily promoted premieres. But the good news is The Cape was very stable over the 2 hours with the first half hour getting a 2.5 rating and each of the last three half hours a 2.6.
60 Minutes (1.6  ) devoted significant coverage to the Tucson shootings but was down 24% from its last (and football-fueled) telecast, and Dateline NBC (1.1) was a special edition anchored by Brian Williams from Tucson but was down 21%.
CSI: Miami was up 14% from last week to a 2.5 rating and Undercover Boss was flat week over week with a 3.0 rating.
ABC wound up second for the night with adults 18-49.  Both Desperate Housewives (3.8) and Brothers & Sisters (2.3) were flat vs. last week’s final numbers.
