The Marcus Dunstan sequel to 2009's The Collector now has it's cast in place. The newly titled The Collection will star Lee Tergesen (Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning), Christopher McDonald (Happy Gilmore) and Emma Fitzpatrick (The Social Network). Josh Stewart reprises his role as Arkin.
I really enjoyed the first movie and it was highly underrated in my opinion so I'm really looking forward to seeing the sequel. A synopsis for the second film goes as follows:
Arkin escapes with his life from the vicious grips of "The Collector" during an entrapment party where he adds beautiful Elena to his "Collection." Instead of recovering from the trauma, Arkin is suddenly abducted from the hospital by mercenaries hired by Elena's wealthy father. Arkin is blackmailed to team up with the mercenaries and track down The Collector's booby trapped hide out and save Elena from his sadistic rituals.
Sounds awesome. The movie will also be released in 3-D (as all movies are nowadays) but the actual release date is still pending.
